The cardiovascular surgical center in the university of Aleppo was born according to the decree number 22 / year 2002 to provide the teaching and training services for doctors who wants to be specialized in cardiovascular surgery, and also to provide the surgical medical care for cardiac patients, medical formation, and doing scientific researches.

The cardiovascular surgical center aims to:
- providing the teaching and training services for doctors who wants to be specialized with cardiovascular surgery in the university of Aleppo.
- trying to provide the surgical medical care for the cardiovascular diseases.

- doing scientific researches according to the center plan in coordination with the ministry of higher education.
- coordination with the scientific and healthy organizations including the local, Arabic, foreign, and international ones, to develop the center work and to have a role into the scientific development.
Center management:
The center is managed by a board and a general manager.

The board consists of:
- The head of the Aleppo university, as a chairman.
- Dean of the medicine college of the university of Aleppo, as a member and a second manager.
- The general manager of the center, as a member.
- The general manager assistant for medical affairs, as a member.
- The general manager assistant for administrative affairs, as a member.
- The head of cardiovascular surgery department, as a member.
- One of the center surgeons named by the minister of higher education each year, as a member.
- One of the center departments heads named by the general manager of the center each year, as a member.
- A representative of the ministry of health, as a member.
- A representative of the postgraduated students in the center, as a member.
- A representative of the syndicate.
- The head of nursing department of the center, as a member.

The center consists of:
- Administration Building
The building consists of 2 floors, each one is about 900 m, and basement storage areas about 450 m. It also includes administration offices, medical storage and furniture.
